Working Efficiently – part thrice

Working this morning on 8 projects at once. How did I get myself into this box! (ha ha) Well, because of our down economy (USA) we have to think outside that “box.” I am referring to working, not smarter, but more efficiently. I use both online and offline devices to get me through this. For offline, I use a mulitple index card system, where I keep each project I do on a separate card. I love this system…it may be “old school,” but I love the simplicity of it. Whether my computer blows up or fails to operate, I can still carry on and not miss a beat because I know where I left off from any project just opening my index card binder. Back in the 1980’s there was a company who widely produced an index card system called “CardScan” which was a notepad, like binder with only two sides inside it that held over 60 slots of index cards. I still have mine and use it exclusively. Thank goodness I took very good care of it. Anyway, this “offline” system can’t be beat. I use it and a yellow legal “scratch” pad and pen. I mentioned my scratch pad system in previous posts.

For online, I use Lotus Organizer. I think you can still buy it. Lotus, of course was bought by IBM and now probably has discontinued it. I like Lotus Organizer over Microsoft Outlook (full version) because it has so many “bells and whistles” that it takes so long to load and operate. I like the simplicity of the Lotus Organizer because it has so little “code” to it, that it loads within two seconds (no kidding) and comes up and closes with equal speed.

If you have any systems you use to keep yourself working efficiently, please post here. We would like to know your systems!

Peace and Love,

Bruce
