How often I hear about workers within a corporation that they are just serving their “time” at work hoping for a better life in retirement from a job that is not fulfilling. Workers who have the word “career” in mind assume the company has everything they could ever want in salary, career path and personal fulfillment, only to find disenchantment at work.
There is an interesting article by Tory Johnson where she states we have to be “gutsy” at work. We have to be focused on what we want out of the job, be persistent, identify our negative thoughts and get rid of them immediately, and most of all reclaim our dream. Who, in our country is not after the true “American Dream?”
Being a workaholic within the corporation is even more of a burden on our shoulders because we practically demand the rewards of promotion and money while we slave every single day at the workplace. If we keep asserting ourselves in spite of our dreams, we can achieve anything!
Peace and Love,
Bruce
